About Ladera Ranch, California:
Ladera Ranch, the newest development in South Orange County, is a 4,000 square foot master-planned community located just east of Mission Viejo and built atop the land that once formed three family ranches.
To create a sense of community, Ladera Ranch villages are broken into districts which are then broken into individual neighborhoods. Miles-long Ladera Ranch Trail connects the entire community, as well as much of the 1,600 acres of open space.
Ladera Ranch has been successful because it provides a wide range of different housing styles and prices, all within villages that offer good schools, parks, playgrounds, retail and entertainment.
The community pioneered many new features including green-oriented living, diversity and distinction through architecture, and one of the highest levels of resident-to-resident interaction ever experiences.
There are numerous villages to choose from in Ladera Ranch including Oak Knoll Village, Bridgepark District, Township District, Village of Avendale, Villages of Flintridge, Echo Ridge, Wycliff District, Village of Terramor and Covenant Hills. Covenant Hills is a hilltop-gated village of classic California estates and is often called the “crowning glory” of Ladera Ranch.
Scattered throughout are four clubs – Oak Knoll Club, Avendale Club, Flintridge Club and Covenant Hills Club – each offering weddings to tea parties, with pools, water play parks, tot lots and shady picnic areas.
There are 19 established parks and “plunges” or pools and seven walking/hiking trails. Most of the parks have open spaces for soccer, hike and basketball. There are 10-miles of biking and hiking trails that surround Ladera Ranch. From an easy-going stroll to a stamina-intensive hike or bike, residents have seven different trail options to choose from.
Unique villages, distinctive neighborhoods, a wealth of community amenities and recreational opportunities, great schools and natural beauty --Ladera Ranch offers residents of all ages and lifestyles an authentic, rewarding hometown experience.
