The city has 14 public parks and the new 18-acre Laguna Hills Community Center and Sports Complex. This state-of-the-art facility offers a roomy gymnasium, a unique fossil exhibit, a popular art gallery with rotating exhibits, a technology brand of the Orange County Public Library, and a banquet area known as the “Heritage Room.” The accompanying Sports Complex features softball, baseball and soccer fields; a skateboard park; a roller hockey rink; picnic shelters and a “prehistoric” playground for children. Laguna Hills’ most popular event is the 4th of July Independence Day Celebration with festivities including rock climbing, games, food, music, and a fireworks display.
